We may be in for a Daniels' spectacular free kick

With Junior Stanislas now out of contention having suffered a knee injury against Watford, Bournemouth will need another free kick specialist and recently it has been Charlie Daniels that has been standing next to Junior in readiness to take over when the opportunity arises. Daniels has only scored once this season and it was a memorable strike against Man City, so has he the ability to break the net again this season?
Can Charlie Daniels offer some well-hit free kicks?
Charlie has not had his strongest seasons yet he remains a player that has one of the most powerful shots in the team, and if he does shoot you know the ball will stay hit. As a free kick taker you have to be brave to stand in the wall when Daniels is lining a shot up and perhaps if he just took a bit of pace off that kick he may find even more success. I think Charlie only knows one way to score though and that is to hit through the ball as hard as he can.

When Daniels does get forward he does make intelligent runs and his offensive game is the best part of his play. What he can do from a free kick though has largely been untested this season, so it is going to be a bit of he unknown for us if he does line up to take the free kicks in Stansilas' absence. Bournemouth have not really scored often enough from dead ball situations and whoever does get chosen to do the job should be doing some extra training on them this week.

It's typical that just when Stanislas hits form that he gets injured and I was saying only a week or so ago that AFCB need to get a couple of more free kick specialists. With Ryan Fraser and Jordan Ibe running at the Crystal Palace defence there is a good chances that Bournemouth will get a few free kicks in shooting range come Saturday and it might be worth including Charlie Daniels in any wager for first goalscorer.

Charlie might get some competition from Ryan Fraser for the honour but whoever gets the job, it will be amazing if they can replicate Stanislas' goal in the last home match against WBA.
