Arter has to knuckle down

The Bournemouth Echo did a good report this week on the feelings of Harry Arter and if we can believe what was said, it's time that Arter took a good look at himself and knuckled down to training hard and making sure he is playing well again. Arter has played the majority of games every season for AFCB since he signed for the club and now that he has been on a poor run of form it appears that he wants to talk to Eddie Howe about his future come the end of the season if he is not playing.
Harry is not that happy about losing his place in the team
but talk is cheap, let's see a performance when you next come on Harry.
I don't like players holding managers to ransom saying, play me or I'm off! I suspect Eddie Howe will want a word with Harry to explain himself if that is the tone he has taken. It is not downing tools like Riyad Mahez, but it stinks of player power and a little disloyal considering how many games players like Dan Gosling have had to watch go by while Harry Arter carved out his AFCB games.

I hope that Harry has been misquoted and that AFCB means more to him than sulking about not getting in the team at the moment. What he has achieved at AFCB has been amazing considering he could have spent a career in non-league. I'm not saying that Harry owes AFCB anything now. He has given his best years to the club and he may well be thinking perhaps he should be trying to get a move. But there are ways of going about it and this sounds like sour grapes.

Of course West Ham papers have revelled in the news that Harry Arter might be a bit discontented at Dean Court. They have certainly tried their best to unsettle the player and that is not Harry's fault, but if our number eight really wants to play and even get a move, the best thing he can do is train well and try and get back into the team at AFCB. It can't be ignored that since Surman and Arter have been left out of the team that AFCB have been on this great unbeaten run. Perhaps Arter needs to think about that a bit more before he moans about not being played. If I remember, the last time Arter played in the first team AFCB were beaten by Wigan 3-0 in the FA Cup, even if Eddie said Harry played okay that game. Two goals against Bury in the U21 game this week was the best way for Harry to respond - I hope Harry doesn't regret his comments.

T-shirt competition
To win a Cherry Chimes T-Shirt this week you have to tweet @CherryChimes the correct number of yellow cards issued by Michael Oliver in the game between Huddersfield and AFCB. If we have more than one correct entry we will draw a winner out of the hat. If you want to know how many cards Michael Oliver has already awarded this season check out AFCB's official website. Good luck!
