Time to enjoy the last two games

Can we relax and just enjoy the last two games? Well, not really. We are AFCB fans that want to see our side win every game and while that is not always possible it is always important to get behind the team and try and give them more encouragement to play to their best abilities. Taking on Burnley and Leicester City will have meaning and the pints on offer will hopefully take AFCB to a new record points total in the Premier League.

Just one home and one away game to go.
There will be pleasure for Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall in welcoming Burnley to Dean Court after their previous associations with the Lancashire club, while the visit to Leicester City and the current home of the Champions is a good way to draw the season to an end. To think that Leicester did the best out of all the English teams in the Champion's League this season shows their credentials, while Burnley have done well to survive this season and will feel that they have the monkey off of their back having won away at Crystal Palace in April. In some ways, this may make the Burnley game quite an end-to-end attacking and open game now as both sides don't need a point to survive and can really just go at each other in their attempts to get all three points.

Preparation for next season is probably too early as AFCB will have some transfer targets in mind and while some players, such as Max Gradel, have been rumoured to want to move on from the Cherries it will be quite a balancing act to see whether Eddie Howe continues to play players that may not be here next season. In my mind it would be best to give Jordan Ibe some minutes and Baily Cargill and Brad Smith, even if it may mean a bit of a change in the balance of the side.

It is always recommended that sides finish the season strongly as they will take that form into the start of the next season, so Eddie will be keen to avoid anymore defeats. But taking on Burnley and Leicester is no guarantee of a full bag of points and three or four points would be a good return from these games.

  1. We need to play our strongest side in these games to get as far up the table as possible. We are in a fantastic position to get a top half finish and we need to be motivated for that! We can blood the younger players when we get injuries!
