AFCB must cut out mistakes if they are to beat Spurs

The Cherries have not always put their best performances in against Tottenham. Apart form the draw at home this season, they have not come off well whenever the two teams have met. A string of mistakes have led to some cricket scores and yet with recent performances against Man Utd and Liverpool are we mad to suggest that AFCB could win this game?
Can AFCB get anything at White Hart Lane?

The more I watch the Cherries, the more I find them a bit of an enigma which is probably why I like writing about the team so much. We only get a glimpse of how the players are feeling from the outside and at this most crucial part of the season there are certainly a million thoughts going through the players' minds about a game like facing title chasing Spurs. The annoying mistakes that are often made in such high-profile games for the Cherries are something that are hard to fathom. It's not simply nerves or the prospect of who is on the other side of the pitch as AFCB have played against the best and on some occasions come out on top. In fact, this season's record against the top six does not read that bad at all. Only Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City seem to hold a hoodoo over the Cherries.

The Cherries go into this game having secured a point in their last three away fixtures and there is a resolve about their away games at the moment. I also believe the inclusion of Tyrone Mings in the squad will add more togetherness and a good vibe on the match preparations and with Junior Stanislas also likely to be part of the squad, this inclusion of fresh players should generate some excitement for the team. They know they are probably a win away from getting to their first goal of safety and beating Spurs on their ground would be the result of the season for AFCB in my book, especially so close to the end of the season when points are so precious.

The lead up to this game will be exciting for the players I am sure, but they have to control those feelings and tell themselves that they are 90 minutes away from making headlines. A win against today Spurs would fill the back pages - I have no doubt about that. UTCIAD!
