Ryan Fraser is becoming a contender for AFCB player of the season

Not many fans would ave expected Ryan Fraser to have such a great impact in his first season in the Premier League as he has had. While he is a crowd favourite and highly liked, not many 22-year-olds would have come through a loan move at Ipswich Town back in the Championship and not let that deter him from making an even bigger splash in the top tier just a few months later. But Ryan is one of the gems in the squad that is becoming harder to hide from bigger clubs.
Ryan Fraser is in the form of his life.
Scoring his first  Premier League goal was surely a huge moment for Ryan and for it t be in an inspired comeback against Liverpool it will be a game that AFCB fans will not forget easily. He is followed that up though with goals against Swansea and Arsenal, and it's fair to say that Eddie Howe has to be thinking now that Ryan is a player that can be a major influence in the second half of the season for AFCB.

Jurgen Klopp certainly knows what Ryan can do and I imagine Arsene Wenger and a few other top managers will have Ryan Fraser on their watch list. While Ryan has not played for the senior Scottish team he must also be in the thoughts of Gordon Strachan going forward and it seems extra praiseworthy that Ryan is achieving all this such a long way away from the area where he grew up in Aberdeen.

Max Gradel may well find that when he returns from the African Cup of Nations it might not be Marc Pugh of Junior Stanislas that he is trying to catch up with, but young Ryan who is now maturing into a winger that is not only scoring but making assists and building a good understanding with Charlie Daniels. If Ryan has an equally good second half of the season we could be celebrating him as AFCB's player of the season come next May and considering where he started from last August that would be a massive leap in progress - I hope he does it. What I am less keen on is seeing one of the top six willing to steal him away come next summer - Eddie should have no doubts that the future of the club should be built around players like Ryan.

Meanwhile the Vital site says Max Gradel wants a transfer

  1. Lets clear out the gradels and grabbans...they are not improving the team...there is talk we are interested in john terry....why on earth...if mings cannot step up to the mark now then he has to go as well...if the manager has no confidence in him..with ake gone and Francis suspended then there is no future for him at the club...

The point is wellmade about fraser but he is very very injury prone...
