Adam Smith can push on further now

It has been a good season for Adam Smith even if injury has dampened his part to take part in the final few games. What I still hold strong my memory is his thunderbolt against Everton at home when the side needed picking up and his run and top corner shot really started the season for AFCB in 2015/16.
Adam Smith can now see a great future at AFCB.
While Adam was not seen as a regular starter at the start of last season, he has made his way now into the side and must be favourite to start the first game next season at right back for AFCB. Having signed a new four-year deal with the club he is clearly feeling confident about his role now at the club and you wonder how it might never have happened for him at AFCB, after he left the club after being on loan and was doing the rounds at Championship clubs, until the Cherries encouraged him to sign permanently from Spurs in January 2014.

Since then it has been a fast-track rise for Adam Smith. He's been developing all the time and has started to add a couple of goals, having also netted against WBA away. But the reliability in his performances are I think what has marked him out as an essential starter. Now he is less prone to mistakes and is always looking to get forward. He never really had a run of games while Simon Francis was available for the right back position, and I expect that Smith may get even more games next campaign.

You can see why Adam himself said, it was a 'no brainer' for him to sign a new contract. He can achieve what he needs to at AFCB and having come from the Spurs' Academy he has a good grounding in the basics, and yet I don't think his confidence was great when he played at so many clubs on loan. Now he is rooted in AFCB's success and it seems to bring more and more out of him all the time.
