Goals have not been a problem this season for the Cherries

A glance at the table shows that Eddie Howe's side might not been in the top half and yet it is far from bottom of the scoring charts. The side was in fact equal with Man Utd before their Mid-week game with West Ham on 44 goals scored - equal 10th highest in the division.

Such stats may give an indication that there is plenty of potential for more goals in the side next season considering Callum Wilson, Max Gradel and Harry Arter missed a huge chunk of the season, while Benik Afobe and Lewis Grabban only joined the club in January.  The top sides do have 20-goal a season men in their lineups, but the Cherries have only had Josh King making of their main strikers notching up anything like a good crop of matches with 34 appearances. His return of six league goals underlines that he has much still to learn but he would benefit from having a regular strike partner in 2016-17.
Most of the outfield players have grabbed a goal or two
this season. It would be great to see Andrew Surman add his name to
that list though at Old Trafford.
Before the start of this season many would have questioned if the side had the fire power to really compete in the Premier League but out of the 37 matches played to date the team has only failed to score in 11 games which is a pretty good return in any sides first season at the top level.

The potential for more goals can only be realised by better finishing of course. While the trend has been for the side to add to its goals by using corner set-plays, there has been very few goals from free kicks for the team. This is one area where I can see the side looking to do better and with defences being so tight in the Premier League it is important that AFCB maximise these moments in games like the very best sides do.
