Eddie was brave to play two up front against Blackpool

Eddie Howe loves to keep everyone guessing but playing two up against Blackpool was not a given. I think he is trying to get his players to feel that they can win no matter whatever system he chooses to play if they can put in a good performance and with different personnel involved. The choice to play Brett Pitman was perhaps a little bit of a necessity if Eddie was keen to play with two up front, considering Rantie had been involved in the week in an international game and Kermorgant was injured. Still, it showed Eddie's confidence in Brett to do a job and one which he had not done since December.

Brett finally got a full run out for 90 minutes against Blackpool.
While Brett did not get on the score sheet the outing will have done his confidence the world of good and he will know that if Kermorgant is not ready for the Blackburn game he could feature again. I expect that Brett will actually be used as a sub in that game as Blackburn are a different proposition to Blackpool, but Brett can play a significant part whether the team is winning, drawing or losing. A poacher is a poacher and if the game needs a striker with that talent Brett has all the qualities Eddie Howe needs.
Is Wednesday too soon for a Kermorgant comeback?
There is a good possibility that Tokelo Rantie will also be pushing for the first change striker if Eddie only plays one up front against Blackburn at the start. Tokelo seems to have the edge on Brett and AFCB do look more unpredictable when TK plays. Meanwhile, Kermorgant may also have recovered from his heel injury.

Yet this has to be a game when Eddie will surely flood the midfield and let Grabban run solo up front. There comes a time when you have to make yourself hard to beat and I believe this is one of those games.

Still, three wins from three games would take us avid Cherry supporters into dream land. I wouldn't mind having some of that. UTCIAD!
