Can AFCB go on a winning run?

It would be great if AFCB could continue a winning sequence now on the back of a good away win. That is a challenge that lies ahead for our Cherries who have yet to win back-to-back games in the Championship. Home form has been a little erratic of late with several matches that could have gone AFCB's way but have not gone quite according to plan.

To get a win AFCB have to stretch the opposition at home. Things have gone against the team like the wonder goal that Brighton scored last time out at home. Still that was a good performance and with a little more luck the Cherries would have racked up another home win. Against the teams that are now on their way to the Goldstands stadium, AFCB stand a reasonable chance of getting a winning sequence going. They have to believe that because losing to Birmingham and Yeovil would bring AFCB right back into the danger area and they are better than that.

Consistency is what Eddie Howe will be asking for. There is a chance here to pull away from the clubs around us and if they do that the team will start to feel more fully established in the Championship. With the chance to build further in January things may well start to look good in the New Year and that could be just as well as looking well ahead to the fixtures in February AFCB will have some very tricky games then. So it is about filling the sack full of goals and points this December and with a good Christmas period the club can look forward to the New Year rather than looking over its shoulder.

First thing is first though. A win against Birmingham would set a new achievement of back-to-back wins and that is what would make the Reading result an even more rewarding.

Enjoy the game today and give the team the backing they need throughout the match. The more noise we make the less pressured the players will feel. UTCIAD!
