Harry Arter's most influential season to come?

There is a talismanic quality about players like Harry Arter. It's not just that he sits in midfield and does his job efficiently, he actually stands out from the crowd. AFCB players start to look to Harry knowing that he can do something special with the ball at his feet, when he is in sight of goal, and more often than not they will play him in if they can.

Harry before the West Ham Utd game.

His goal tally is starting to catch the eye of other clubs but this new season will really test Harry. He will be up against much better players in the centre of the park and will have less room I imagine than he is perhaps used to. That is not necessarily a bad thing because we will see if harry can raise his game even further, if he can reach yet another level and push on again. As a player plucked from non-league Woking (who the team plays on Saturday), Harry has more than justified his regular starting place in the team. He has become one of the leading figures.

Importantly, Harry has been able to forge partnerships with different players quite easily. While Shaun McDonald played most of the early games last season with him it was Eunan O'Kane that assumed that role in the second half of the season. Harry's vision and ability to run at defenders is what I like most about him. His tackling and passing may not always come off as well as we all might hope but he does have a great habit of getting on the score sheet fairly regularly.

While QPR and Norwich rumours may persist over the coming months, I get the feeling that Harry is more than happy to stay at AFCB and learn more about the game under Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall. The season after next may be a different matter as other clubs will know all about Harry Arter if he continues to do well and international call ups would then be around the corner you would think.

Harry's biggest season ahead? Undoubtedly, and I expect him to grab many of the Championship headlines.
