John Terry heads wanted list for Cherries

The loss of Nathan Aké on loan has landed AFCB in a bit of a spot. It is therefore not so surprising that the Cherries have enquired about the availability of John Terry. While he would only be a covering defender like Sylvain Distin was a season ago, his knowledge and experience would be soaked up by AFCB's defenders on the training pitch. But how likely is it that this Chelsea legend would want to leave Stamford Bridge?
Is John Terry going to consider a move to Dean Court?
The Daily Star is adamant that he would not leave the Bridge and that he wants to play out his remaining playing days there. It probably is his last season so you can understand that a loan move to the Cherries or any other club would not sit easy with him when he wants to say farewell to his Chelsea fans. But he isn't getting many games at Chelsea and now Nathan Aké is also competition for him. He may have the stark choice of coming to a club like Bournemouth or Swansea or frankly end up just watching the last six months of his contract pass away as he sits on the bench or in the stands at Stamford Bridge.

John Terry is also used to being at the centre of things. How well would he fit in at AFCB? He would have the respect of the players for what he has achieved in the game, but he would have to work as hard as he ever has done with the busy training regime that Eddie Howe sets out for players. While John has always been a good trainer, I imagine that he has to take it slightly more carefully these days as he is coming to the end of his career.

Compared to Nathan Aké it is not an equal trade, but it is a simple way out of a problem that has been generated. I think this will come down to what John Terry wants and whether he can be enticed down to Dean Court is more about whether he wants to play regularly or not and whether he would be given that assurance by AFCB.
