Are AFCB getting closer to the big teams?

There has not been a massive improvement in results against the top teams from AFCB this season even if they have managed a draw with Tottenham at home. The home games are probably the best chance they have of getting something against the top six and that will include Liverpool.
AFCB still want that first Premier League win over Liverpool.
Of course Liverpool are no strangers of visiting Dean Court. The cup games have given them more exposure to the Cherries home crowd than any other Premier League club, so taking them on at home is not such a big advantage. Yet, the top teams don't often slip up and for them to do so AFCB need to be on top form themselves.

Against Arsenal, Eddie Howe was encouraged by some of the play in parts of the game where he felt the side did take the game to the Gunners. Indeed their were some olés from the away fans when AFCB were keeping the ball well, but it is about hurting teams and I can probably count on one hand how many goals AFCB have scored against the best teams in the league.

Does that mean we should be expecting another defeat on Sunday? Absolutely not. The team will have been prepared to get three points and once AFCB do get a win against a top side like they did last season it can drive them on to more success. It will help of course that AFCB have their best side out and that will be the concern leading up to the game for me. While some players have done well since deputising for others, AFCB need to get back to a settled side.

There was bound to be a readjustment after last season with what Leicester City did. The big teams want to put that right and a glance at the Premier League table will tell anyone that there is a hierarchy being rebuilt. And yet we have seen Burnley over turn Liverpool, even if it was back in August. AFCB have to be just as ambitious at home and the players know that December is often a good month for them. I'm hoping that AFCB's performance against Spurs was not just a one off. UTCIAD!
