AFCB away fans are a credit to the club

There were some 472 courageous Cherry supporters at the Reebok and I can tell you that I could hear them for every minute of the 90 minutes that was played. The draw of being a stadium that was one that AFCB had not visited before was probably exciting enough for some of them to want to make the trip, while others may have had their sights set on seeing an away win.

But travelling some 264 miles to the game and the same again on the way home requires fans that can take a bit of discomfort. And 2:0 down after 32 minutes must have felt pretty awful with the rain also pelting down. Yet it was "Barmy Army" that was ringing out around the stadium.
AFCB home crowd.
It is clear that AFCB's players respond to the support that they get, and with the passion that our supporters have you can see that it is drummed into the players that anything is possible. I bet the faces of  the AFCB fans were beaming when Simon Francis pulled the scores level. It is moments like that and of course the rocket that Lewis Grabban hit that make it worthwhile travelling all that way.

Perhaps next time the supporters travel up to Lancashire our supporters will return with even more points. But it was noted how loudly they sung on Saturday and I am sure it helped the team to get the result they achieved in the end. I hate to think what time some of the fans got home to the south coast. UTCIAD!
